Most everything in this section will come in "zip" format. To use them you'll need to unzip the file to your Sex Sim folder. See this page (http://customize.org/help/How_To_Unzip_A_File) for information on how to do that if you don't know how.
Usually the zip files are made so everything goes into the right place, but sometimes things end up in places where you need to move them around for them to work, depending on how the creator made their zip file.
If you need help with a specific item just ask in the thread where you found the files, and the author or someone else will more than likely be happy to help you out.
Once you've done a couple you'll get used to it, it's easy. :)

Check the ZIP file and if there isn't any directories, you will have to:
for Clothes:
- Find the install folder of the game (default is C:\Sex Sim\).
- Inside locate directory \Runtime\user_created\
- Extract the ZIP file somewhere.
- Copy Name.xml file into \clothes\info\
- Copy Name_t-b.png, Name_t-t.png and z_Name_t-b.png into \clothes\
- Copy tn_o_Name.png into \clothes\thumbs\
Eaxmple:
- C:\Sex Sim\Runtime\user_created\clothes\info\Fishnet-Body.xml
- C:\Sex Sim\Runtime\user_created\clothes\thumbs\tn_o_Fishnet-Body.png
- C:\Sex Sim\Runtime\user_created\clothes\Fishnet-Body_t-b.png
- C:\Sex Sim\Runtime\user_created\clothes\Fishnet-Body_t-t.png
- C:\Sex Sim\Runtime\user_created\clothes\z_Fishnet-Body_t-b.png
for Girls
- Find the install folder of the game (default is C:\Sex Sim\).
- Inside locate directory \Runtime\user_created\
- Extract the ZIP file somewhere.
- Copy f-Name.xml file into \characters\
- Copy tn_f_Name.png into \thumbs\
- Copy meter_Name.png into \thumbs\m\
Eaxmple:
- C:\Sex Sim\Runtime\user_created\characters\f-Kate.xml
- C:\Sex Sim\Runtime\user_created\characters\thumbs\tn_f_Kate.png
- C:\Sex Sim\Runtime\user_created\characters\thumbs\m\meter_kate.png

I redid all my earlier zips. If you download any of the stuff I did, all you have to do is unzip them to C:\
They should then go to where they are suppose to go in the game directories.

Hey I'm a crap at computer stuff and I'm french so I first apology for my english and if my question is silly :-[... All my files are in the right places I suppose because I can see the differents files when i opened my sex sim folder however I can't use them in the game i'd have liked to know why ...

What do you mean by "I can't use them in the game"? They don't show up, or they give an error, or...

Well they don't show up during the game I mean I can not select the downloads clothes or girls because they don't appear in the select menu

If that's the case then you just have to make sure you're putting them in the right place. If they're not there they won't show up.

Hi,I download 2 girls,and the files are in the right place,but they have no hair,I don't like this :-[,could you tell me how to make them grow hair?

The girls you downloaded and installed require some of the girl's hairstyles. If you don't have the right girl installed form the add-on store then your custom girl will be bald. :o

I installed all of the files in the right places and my girl shows up in-game, but she's covered in red and white splotches and none of her features look like they do from the download. I followed the instructions and put them in the right places, but she still doesn't show up right.

It depends on the character. If you're using one of the newer style characters where the forum post shows the list in red of what's required, etc. then you can just follow the directions in the post itself for unzipping the file and everything will go where it should.
If you're using an older character that just comes in a zip file without all of that other info, then the textures are most likely inside the zip in a sub-folder inside the "textures" folder. Just follow the same structure as the zip file has and put them in the same place in your Sex Sim directory.

Firstly I would like to thank you Jak for this exceptional sim; secondly, could you explain how to use .rar file for user creations like clothes and girls cause some posts in the forums only have a .rar and not a .zip file. Needless to say I have no idea how to use a .rar file or what they even are.

RAR is a format just like ZIP. You can get a RAR extractor here: http://www.win-rar.com/start.html?&L=0 and there are more out there but that's the main one I know of.

Ok, I seem to be having troubles with the .rar extraction. Whenever i extract the files using a rar extractor it says it is extracted but when i look they're not there. Then i try to extract it again, but it then asks if i want to replace the files that are already there.
Any ideas?

Ok nvr mind the last post, I figured out what was wrong. Basically, in order to move or copy anything into the SexSim folder the admin (me) has to approve the files, so when i tried to extract the rar it wouldn't work, but then I extracted it into a folder on my desktop it worked.
So, sorry if I wasted your time with something I screwed up. Now back to enjoying your amazing sim. ;D
