I see the new release, Inked Ravens. That's cool and all, but are there any plans to continue updating SexSim? There hasn't been a peep for quite some time about the engine upgrade that's supposed to be happening.
If some more editors or mod tools were released, this could easily become a community-driven game. I and probably quite a few others have invested a fair amount of money in this game due to its incredible potential, and I would hate to see it fade into the plethora of failed 3D erotica projects out there.
Having a pose editor would allow for massive community input to the game and would allow people to occupy themselves for a much longer time with this game. I know that's not an easy thing to implement, but if that was even the last feature released for this game, I'd be pretty happy.
Any word on the status of this game would be greatly appreciated. I would hate to see it die. :-\

Inked Ravens as far as I can tell is under the Ripened Peach brand, but Sex Sim was sold/passed on to new developers so isn't the same team or company - it's still 'in progress' but the new guys seem to be taking a while doing anything, apparently updating the engine before adding any more content...
-
Yeah, that's what I've been reading. Any indication from the current company would be great, but they've been practically silent since the transition. It's kinda disheartening that there has been barely a peep out of any of the current devs.
-
I'd say yes. Too quiet. A developer should keep in contact with their community.
-
Yes they are working on the engine, i hope they will give us some information about how it's going.
-
yes. i'm still having fun with this game. i love strip kittens as well and there hasnt been anything new there
in a long time. i wonder if its the same new owners ?
-
It would be nice to get an update on what work is being done - I've seen no official word for quite some time. I understand that they're working on the engine but I'd like a clearer idea of other aspects in progress and maybe even a timeframe or two...

Hi!
maybe it's not dead :o)
I raised a question about this in the supportarea, a couple of weeks ago, and got an answer from Giselle:
Hello,
Yes, development is in progress. New features are coming in October, please stay tuned!
Merci,
Giselle

Great to hear that there is indeed still life in this awesome game, looking forward to seeing what October brings. 8)

I just saw scanman58's post and wanted to clarify that I did not write that message to you. It turns out that my name was still being automatically attached to the end of help desk messages, but it wasn't me who wrote to you.
If something is coming for SexSim in October, I had no knowledge of it. The help desk messages come from the new owners of Sex Sim. It's great if something is coming (yay!) but I want to make it totally clear that I didn't write that message. :)

... And ...
With that said, I spoke with the SS owners this morning and there is a possibility that I will be doing some work on the sim starting very soon. More news on that when I have it.

That's fantastic news! So I thnik now the definitive answer to the question; is sex sim dead? is a resounding no, which is fantastic! :)

I'm glad SexSim isn't dead. I was starting to feel lonely :'(

Good to hear!

I'm hoping the game has a future. The textures are quite simply better than those provided by another popular game. Atmosphere is richer, as well. I do wish the character features were more malleable. It would be good to seem some more dissimilar characters popping up. If I wasn't so routinely lazy, I'd figure out how to use the tools necessary to add a little more spice. Still ... this program was worth the expense, I think. I'm hoping future modules will include the option of manipulating the features of males. I'd like to jump into the action as my spectacular self. Okay. Not spectacular. Bespectacled would be a better word. Cheers. Keep on keeping on.
