I was wonder where i could find the eye textures so that i can make one eye green and one eye blue, or at least where i can find a temple that is already an eye texture that i can just re-color it. (tried downloading the female base textures zip but the eye texture is completely blank).

Oncesailor posted approximately a gazillion fancy coloured eye textures in this thread

Failing that, here's a jpg version of the base eye texture I picked up somewhere along the way...
Please remix my stuff! Use anything I've posted here as the base for your own work.  Please post it here too!

sweet thanks, i'm trying to make Yuna from FFX and she has a blue and a green eye so i can't use the preset eye colors in the editor.

thanks again.

Another thing, when i saved the character i went looking for xml file so that i could figure out how to change the hair through that, but i didn't find one. I was wondering if it may have saved it somewhere other then runtime/user_created/characters or how i can make it make one.

Hello,

I am brand new here, and still pretty new to Sex Sim. First, hats off.. This is a super-cool simulation. And a very talented community of modders. I really enjoy the concept of designing a girl from scratch, like a dream girl.

Only, my dream girl is a vampire. I tried in vain to make a set of fangs(see below) which took about an hour, maybe a bit more as I am neurotic and picky, it had to curve just right, and two or four teeth between fangs, etc... . I selected these with "custom teeth textures" button in the editor. And I was so excited, but, it didn't work. Just teeth there like before.

I have scoured these forums. I see that it has been mentioned by pronzilla that he had a plan. I have downloaded a couple of "vampire" chicks, one of which even claimed she had fangs. Well, she didn't have any fangs.

I am not familiar with 3d map manipulation at all, but I am more than willing to learn. Is it in any way possible to create vampire fangs in Sex Sim with, or without 3d map manipulation?

Thank you,

tea

My knowledge of the subject matter is only rudimentary, but I'm pretty sure you can't do that because the underlying model would have to provide for the extra space of the fangs.

At the base of the process there's like a matchstick sculpture (→ mesh) over which a fabric (→ texture) gets drawn. If the basic shape of the sculpture has no room for the extra parts of your fabric, they will either get folded over or ignored.

Thank you for the reply.

Yes, that sounds like what's happening indeed. I was hoping there was a way to edit the teeth model. I was hoping it would be as simple as opening the character in 3d editing program(which I know nothing about), and pulling down or up on a "control point" or two, or ten, to make the tooth longer.

There is the "Fantasy" option on the head shape sliders, and this is the same idea, only for the ears. Also, there is the eyelashes length slider. Actually, just about everything on the body is adjustable for height, length, width. However that is done, seems like it should be somehow possible on other body parts too...

Fingernails, teeth, hair, devil horns!, devil tail!, etc...  I don't mean to sound unsatisfied, this program is awesome...

Also, to correct my other post, the "vampire chick" did come with some blood soaked fangs, but they did not get rendered, of course.

I'll see if I can add some extra morph sliders into the editor in the next update maybe. Fangs, etc.

Thanks for the reply. It is great that you keep up with the posts here, that makes me feel like my peach point money has been very well spent.

I would be completely thrilled with those types of features added.

Thanks guys for addressing my questions, much appreciated.

I am starting to pick up Blender and I am slowly prepping to use GIMP- I use to use Photoshop, but I started to drift from it- so I find working on things like this useful and encouraging for me to actually learn and make my own 3d models.  I understand how to set up the clothes so that they aren't directly on the skin or a model to create that dirft/hanging effect, but it is a bit buggy.  But with me having ADHD, I now want to move on to creating either objects that may be used in game- when that becomes available in the future- and even new environments or Models.

I was wondering if there was any way to import fully user made models (without the use of PPP- it is nice, but limited) into the game, or do I need to send them directly to you and let you decide if they should be imported.  Won't bother me either way, or whatever the case is- I'll figure something out for them.  I would like to be able to make sure they are working before I send them out and work out any bugs- even do this as I make changes in increments, so I can figure out what I did wrong easier.

Currently I am working on slightly toned female (and sometimes the male counterpart; just winging it for practice).  I know that I can create an illusion of such using textures, but, my keen eyes of 15/20 and perfect color vision sees that is it airbrushed and kind kills it for me.

Sill, Love the game and look forward to what you put out... if all else, this will be a good motivator to continue to use and learn Blender (Had it for almost a year, and can barely something the resembles a human) and figure GIMP out.

I have a problem with the Character Editor... I have a custom skin which I was able to load onto a model and save. The custom model loads fine. When I try to load the same skin onto another model it just shows as white, the entire skin is white no matter which part I try to load. I have tried with many models with the same result. Any suggestions?

Are you loading the original skin texture? Make sure you are selecting the original texture that loaded onto the first model. If that doesn't work, perhaps list here the steps you're taking, starting with the texture working and then going to it not working.

Thanks for the quick reply Giselle. Yes, I have been trying to load the same texture that worked the first time. I've also tried another custom texture, one which came with a model downloaded from user content. It had also worked previously, I think the model/character is called Katja. The steps taken are fairly straight forward. I load a character, click on the  editor button, click on the textures tab then select and load the proper texture. The first time i did this the texture(s) loaded, as they should, I finished some minor tweaking of the body and then saved my masterpiece :P This new character worked and looked beautifully in the game. Faced with such a success I had to try again! When I repeated the process, with the same base character, the textures will not load and the figure is  white, all white; not only does the selected texture not load but the other two textures, in this case the head and limbs, are also removed. Just to try, I saved the all white character and when subsequently selecting her in the character selection screen she loads all white with a missing parts message. When looking into which parts are missing of course the three textures are missing. In this case the three listed missing textures are from the base model and the particular texture I was trying to load is not listed. I hope this is enough information to start with. Thank you for your help. As a side note.... when in the texture selection screen... there is a message in the upper left corner of the window, something like " I am working hard" with an ever increasing count up. It looks as if the program is loading something. I have waited to see if what ever is being loaded/accessed finishes but it never seems too. In any case, here you go! Thanks again.

i think i know whats going on. your getting what i call the "snow efffect" in character editor open the character your trying to post the skin to and wipe out references to any specular map it should say original.
you might also have to remove any reference to z_textures.
make sure all the pointers go to the folder you want to use.
before
D</Image>
         <Body>5</Body>
         <theEditedCharacterFolder>z_textures\4a2d1109694_S</theEditedCharacterFolder>
         <BodyColor>255,255,255</BodyColor>
         <BodyTex>4a2d1109694_S</BodyTex>
         <BodyTexSource>z_textures\4a2d1109694_S</BodyTexSource>
         <BumpTex>SS_standard</BumpTex>
         <BumpTexSource>SS_special</BumpTexSource>
         <SpecularTex>z_textures\4a2d1109694_S</SpecularTex>
         <SpecularTexSource>z_textures\4a2d1109694_S</SpecularTexSource>
after
<Body>1</Body>

         <BodyColor>255,255,255</BodyColor>
         <BodyTex>CindyD</BodyTex>
         <BodyTexSource>CindyD</BodyTexSource>
         <BumpTex>SS_standard</BumpTex>
         <BumpTexSource>SS_special</BumpTexSource>
         <SpecularTex>original</SpecularTex>
         <SpecularTexSource>original</SpecularTexSource>

when you get the XML file cleared up. save as ALL FILES type and not TEXT.
then when you got that done. do not save with the character editor. close it by using the exit without saving button. then your character should come up as you want.

some of this seems to be caused by to many textures in your folder. (not sure thats true) if you can move some to to packed characters that may help. once you have them savely saved in packed try loading the character in the editor and the clicking remove.
good luck
