Another First Attempt: Sweater & Jeans
« on: November 06, 2011, 12:06:56 PM »
This is my first attempt at texturing. So cut me some slack, please?  ;)

There are minor poke through issues around the armpits in some animations.

The belt on the jeans really could do with a bump map, but I haven't got that far with my skillset yet!  :-[

That said, for a first attempt, I am quite pleased & encouraged.  :eyebrows:

I really would have liked to make it into a Polo-Neck ( Turtleneck US ) Sweater.
It would have been great if I could have taken the collar up to her jaw line, for a nice high neck, but the available mesh doesn't go that far!  :(

Any chance of getting that on the clothing wireframe mesh & UVMap, please?

Hey Jak,

Any chance of a mesh & UV Map featuring the higher neck I suggested, please?

The UV maps are what works in the game currently.  Just changing the UV map won't add anything that's not there to begin with.  Adding higher necklines means changing the clothing model.

Oh yeah, gotcha I see that part now where you said mesh as well.  If I do anything with clothing it will be adding real model clothes instead of the way it is now.

Even extending the existing mesh would be a quick fix for the high collar issue?

Full length pants would be great too.

When you say 'real model clothes' are you meaning dynamic clothing?
If so, that would be really cool.
Clothing deforming as it is put on or taken off.
Sounds really like a lot of work though.  :-\
